“Monster” Inoue fights Goodman on Christmas Eve

Undisputed world super bantamweight boxing champion Naoya Inoue will face Australian top contender Sam Goodman at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo on December 24, organizers of the fight said on Thursday.

Last December, the Japanese star nicknamed “Monster” became only the second man in boxing history to win all four major belts in two weight classes, having previously done so at bantamweight.

This year, Inoue defeated Mexico's Luis Nery in May and Irishman TJ Doheny in September, both by technical knockout.

Inoue has a record of 28-0 with 25 KOs. Goodman, ranked number one by the IBF and WBO, is 19-0 with eight KOs.
