A woman was killed and three people were injured in an overnight accident in Monroeville

A woman died in a crash in Monroeville late Saturday evening.

According to Allegheny County Police, the accident between a Nissan Pathfinder and a Toyota Rav 4 occurred around midnight in the 3700 block of William Penn Highway.

According to police, there were two people in each vehicle during the accident. All four were taken to area hospitals, where a woman who was a passenger in the Pathfinder was pronounced dead. The condition of the other three occupants is stable.

ACPD says its preliminary investigative information shows both vehicles were traveling west on Willian Penn Highway when the Pathfinder collided with the rear of the Rav 4.
