The chance of rain and snow will continue into Sunday

PHOENIX – The fall storm that moved through the state Saturday brought a wintry mix to northern Arizona and scattered showers to the Valley.

Cooler air, breezy winds and the possibility of rain and snow across our state will continue Sunday and into early Monday.

Temperatures here in the valley will drop to as low as 70 degrees on Sunday.

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible Sunday, with up to a tenth of an inch of rain possible in parts of the valley throughout the day.

Across the high country, snow levels will drop to 5,500 feet Sunday morning into Monday morning. Flagstaff could collect an inch or two of snow by early Monday morning.

It will be dry again in time for Election Day, but another storm system will hit our state by the middle of next week.

Stay tuned for updates on this topic as we get closer.
