One woman was killed and three were injured in a crash on DuSable Lake Shore Drive in Uptown near Montrose Avenue, police said

CHICAGO (WLS) – A woman died and three others were injured in a crash in Uptown on Sunday, according to Chicago police.

The accident occurred around 1:46 a.m. in the northbound lane of DuSable Lake Shore Drive near Montrose Avenue.

Chicago police said four people were in a gray sedan and the driver crashed into a traffic light pole.

The passenger, a 32-year-old woman, suffered fatal head injuries and died in hospital.

The three other occupants, a male driver and two backseat passengers, were taken to local hospitals and are expected to be OK.

Traffic notices were still pending.

CPD major accident investigators are investigating.
