Doniphan, Missouri man airlifted after two-vehicle crash

BUTLER COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports one person was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening in Butler County.

According to MSHP, the accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 2 on Route M, about a mile west of Poplar Bluff.

A pickup truck was reportedly traveling westbound when it attempted to pass a car in front of it. The truck hit the car, left the road and landed in the ditch before overturning.

The truck was totaled and a passenger, a 21-year-old man from Doniphan, Missouri, had to be flown to St. Louis University Hospital for treatment. He wasn't wearing a seatbelt.

MSHP said the car had minor damage and the driver did not report any injuries.
