Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are engaged in fierce battles as the latest polls show a close race

A barrage of polls released Sunday show Vice President Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump remain braced for a photo finish in this week's presidential election as voters are narrowly divided both nationally and in the crucial swing states that will decide the election.

There were some encouraging signs for the Democratic candidate: The latest ABC News/Ipsos poll gave Harris a 49% to 46% lead nationally, while the New York Times/Siena poll released Sunday had Harris ahead in five of seven swing states showed.
