Fetterman explodes on CNN as he denigrates Trump's playbook

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) on Sunday sharply criticized Donald Trump's attempts to sow doubt about election integrity in Pennsylvania, calling it a sign of desperation.

“It's the same shit he played in 1920 and it didn't do anything,” Fetterman told CNN's Dana Bash State of the Union, He dismissed Trump's accusations that people in the state were “FRAUDING BIG TIME.” The allegations – and their rebuke – come as New York Times/A Siena College poll finds that Trump and Kamala Harris are tied in Pennsylvania, what it means for both candidates.

Fetterman said the only valid case of voter fraud in a presidential election was a 2020 incident involving a man who illegally filled out his dead mother's ballot for Trump. The man admitted to hearing “too much propaganda,” which influenced his decision to fraudulently vote for Trump.

However, in 2024 there will be “no election fraud”.

“It's the same sad story as in the 1920s and I want to remind everyone of that [Joe] “Biden ruined his shit by 80,000 votes,” Fetterman said. “He's going to try to lie and claim these baseless things, but now we're going to have a new team leading America and that's going to be Harris – but it's going to be close.”

Fetterman also criticized Trump's attacks on transgender people in his campaign ads, saying the messages showed Trump's political capital was “bankrupt.”

“It doesn’t make you hard,” Fetterman said. “It doesn't make you a man if you pick on trans or gay kids. It just makes you an asshole.”
