One dead, one injured in accident at Pinkham's Grant, NH – NBC Boston

A man was killed in an accident in Pinkham's Grant, New Hampshire, Saturday evening.

According to New Hampshire State Police, they responded to an accident near 467 Route 16 around 6 p.m

When they arrived on scene, authorities determined it was a crash involving a sedan and an SUV.

According to police, the sedan was traveling northbound when it crossed the double solid yellow line and crashed into a southbound SUV.

The driver of the SUV, 77-year-old Peter Canty of Jackson, New Hampshire, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

According to police, the driver of the sedan suffered minor injuries.

Route 16 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

The crash is still under investigation.
