Saints change training routine amid midweek injuries

Health has been one of the New Orleans Saints' biggest enemies this season. New Orleans has been on the losing side of this battle for most of the season.

The injury error also does not distinguish the timing of the injuries. The Saints have suffered injuries in games and practices. The latter causes Dennis Allen to change his workout routine.

The most notable injuries, such as Derek Carr, Erik McCoy and Chris Olave, occurred in live action. However, Pete Werner missed three games due to a hamstring injury he sustained in training. Kool-Aid McKinstry is missing from the Carolina Panthers this week after also suffering a hamstring injury in practice.

The Saints have suffered eight injuries in practice this year. Allen said they “pay attention to hydration, a little more stretching before exercise, and the activation phase.”

Pre-practice focus is essential. Hamstring injuries are among the most common injuries. The stretching exercises and activation time changes are aimed at preparing the body for more strenuous activities. These changes were necessary. What they tried didn't work. Hopefully it makes a positive difference.
