Assault leads to arrest in Wilkes-Barre

Wilkes-Barre, PA – On Monday, Wilkes-Barre City Police responded to a hospital report of an assault victim in the emergency room.

The incident, registered under IRC number 240228672, occurred on October 21 at 9:26 p.m. on North River Street. The individuals involved were 33-year-old defendant Malcolm Perry of Wilkes-Barre and a 32-year-old female victim, also of Wilkes-Barre.

According to police, the altercation began when the victim and Perry were at a Sheetz location. The situation escalated in the victim's vehicle, where Perry allegedly damaged the car's rearview mirror and struck the victim multiple times while driving through Wilkes-Barre.

The victim managed to get Perry to his apartment before seeking medical attention at the hospital. After treating her injuries, police took Perry into custody and he was later taken to city headquarters for arraignment.
