Concord police have arrested a man accused of breaking into a downtown coffee shop in June.

Deshon Stone-Davis, 29, was arrested Thursday morning and faces burglary charges after breaking into Brothers Cortado and stealing cash, Concord police said.

Ian Nemiccolo, co-owner of Brothers Cortado, told the Monitor that the break-in occurred just an hour before store staff arrived for work on the morning of June 10. He said they were grateful to the Concord Police Department for their responsiveness.

“It’s scary for us if someone comes into the building an hour before my staff arrives,” Nemiccolo said.

Nemiccolo added that Brothers Cortado loves their Bicentennial Square home and that their customers have been very helpful after the theft.

According to Concord police, Stone-Davis has no connection to the cafe. In police records he gave a home address in Franklin.

The police did not provide any information about the amount stolen and referred to ongoing investigations into other people who may have been involved in the break-in.
