The breakout Lions safety is ejected for a helmet-to-helmet hit and then hits Lambeau

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Brian Branch was ejected from Lambeau Field in the second quarter of the Detroit Lions-Green Bay Packers game after being hit helmet-to-helmet on the sideline. The breakaway Lions' safety was then assessed another unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after throwing up two middle fingers on the way out.

Branch hit Packers' rookie receiver Bo Melton too high on a second-and-20 play midway through the second quarter and was disqualified after a brief conversation with the referees. He then told the crowd and officials on the way out what he thought of the decision and added another 15 yards of penalties to the play.
