Pedro Pascal makes a hilarious comment on Paul Mescal's Gladiator II training

Pedro Pascal talks about his training and his co-star Paul Mescal for Ridley Scott's Gladiator II

Pedro plays Marcus Acacius Gladiator II. The film follows Lucius Verus (Paul Mescal), the son of Russell Crowe's character Maximus from the original 2000 film.

In a new interview, Pedro revealed that he didn't have to train for the role, but did it anyway because it would make certain movements easier.

“I didn't have a single instruction in the film to get into any shape, but I did it. Mainly so I wouldn't get hurt, and it didn't work. I still got hurt,” he said AND. “I became stronger than ever just so I could really play the character.”

“I'm definitely getting to the point where I can't just wake up and do stuff like that, so I've been preparing for that,” he said game of Throness star. “I used to be able to wake up and do these things, but things have changed and I knew I wanted to be able to do these things.”

“Of course I trained and rehearsed a lot to be able to do it,” he added.

When the host noted that his co-star Paul had fun training for the film.

Pedro replied, “Yeah, I bet. I bet he had fun. Maybe I would have enjoyed it if I was 20 years younger.”

Together with Pedro Pascal and Paul Mescal, Gladiator II The film stars Denzel Washington and is scheduled to hit theaters on November 22nd.
