Fatal crash reported in Charleston, 215 Beltway in Summerlin

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Authorities are responding to a fatal crash Tuesday evening on Charleston Boulevard in west Las Vegas.

According to Nevada State Police, the accident occurred just before 8:40 p.m. on Charleston, east of the 215 Beltway in Summerlin, near the Red Rock Casino.

Investigators believe a single vehicle struck a pedestrian, who was later pronounced dead at a local hospital, Officer Shawn Haggstrom said in an email.

The driver remained on scene and cooperated with investigators. No further details were disclosed.

Eastbound Charleston is closed east of the Beltway, but the northbound ramp is open.
