Lamar Odom reveals experience with “pink cocaine,” the same drug found in Liam Payne's body before his death

Lamar Odom has spoken out about his own experience with “pink cocaine” after traces of the drug were found in Liam Payne's body following his death.

On October 16, the former One Direction star died in Buenos Aires, Argentina, after falling from a third-floor hotel balcony. According to a preliminary toxicology report by ABC NewsThe 31-year-old singer was found to have traces of crack, cocaine, benzodiazepines and “pink cocaine” – a combination of MDMA, ketamine and methamphetamine – in his body.

Now former NBA star Odom has detailed his own use of the recreational drug, which many have questioned following Payne's death.

In conversation with TMZKhloe Kardashian's ex-husband confessed that he had taken “every” drug that was found in the toxicology report. “Drugs could cause hallucinations – I’ve heard voices,” said the professional athlete. “That’s all.”

Odom, who was in recovery for his own drug problems, suspected that Payne may have been having hallucinations from the drug combination.

The former Los Angeles Lakers star expressed his condolences to Payne's old bandmates – Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik – as well as the singer's family. “I will make sure I pray for his family and everyone he knows,” Odom said.

Payne is survived by his parents, sisters and his seven-year-old son: Bear.

Following the singer's death, Kate Cassidy – his girlfriend of two years – released a series of photos as a tribute to her late partner. In the Oct. 23 post, she shared selfies of the couple as well as pictures of them kissing and cuddling.

“I don't even know where to start. My heart is shattered in a way that I cannot express. “I wish you could see the enormous impact you've had on the world, even when it feels so dark right now,” the 25-year-old wrote in a statement.

“You have brought so much happiness and positivity to everyone – millions of fans, your family, your friends and most of all me. “You are so incredibly loved,” she continued, before revealing that the two had plans to get married in the future.

“A few weeks ago we sat outside on a beautiful evening and manifested our life together. I'm keeping your note with me, even though you told me not to look at it. It said, 'Me and Kate will be married/engaged within a year and together forever,'” Cassidy added.

“Liam, I know we will be together forever, but not in the way we planned. You will always be with me. I gained a guardian angel.”
