On the All The Smoke Fight podcast, he recalled a 2016 incident when he fell off a hoverboard.

The hoverboard was one of his children's Christmas presents and Iron Mike jumped on it – only to fall to the ground.

Tyson says he then needed surgery and it “ruined” his life. He said, “Listen, today I was at practice and I was hitting the heavy bag and walking around and there was a skateboard – my coach said, 'Mike, stay away from it,' and I was like, 'Man, you're crazy.' .' '.

“But yes, that [hoverboard] Ruined my life, I had to have surgery and everything.”

“They give me all this inspiration and let me know, 'Boy, you gotta perform tonight.' It’s time to perform.”
