We've reached our final two chapters of DC Studios, showrunners Lauren LeFrancand EPs Matt Reeves And Dylan Clark'S Colin Farrell And Cristin Milioti-with The penguinand we can safely say that Sofia (Milioti) plans to force a confrontation with Oz (Farrell). Based on this crowbar, it looks like she plans to make things painfully personal. That brings us to the episode images and promo trailer released for Top Hat, as Oz struggles to protect his personal and professional life while Sofia realizes the revelations are far from over…

“I can tell you this: We would like to be able to do more. But I can also say that we are already talking to HBO about it.” [more]Reeves said in a recent interview with The Wrap. “The opportunity then on HBO to explore characters that wouldn't be able to creatively exploit those kinds of opportunities like we were able to.” Oz, that's what we're talking to HBO about. They are very enthusiastic about this idea. “That's something we really, really hope we can do,” he continued, adding, “We have 'The Batman.'” We have “The Penguin.” And who knows what comes next.

The Penguin: A Preview of The Batman Spinoff.

“We're in the world of Oz,” LeFranc shared in an interview EW before SDCC 2024. “We live in the underbelly of the city. Oz is a doer and a doer. You can't always trust him. He is very smart and very methodical, but he is also extremely impulsive. You can’t do that.” Predict what he will do. Since the spinoff series is set a week after the events of Robert Pattinson-with The BatmanThe connections between feature films and streaming series are pretty clear. However, LeFranc points out that the series will also serve as a prelude to the second film (expected in 2026). “We are the bridge between the two films. “We’re moving almost straight into the second film that Matt has planned,” LeFranc added.

For Reeves, the vision of expanding the Batman universe emerged while he was writing the film. “While we were writing the film [The Batman]I thought, 'Hey, you know what? I think there are some cool shows we could do. That's actually why I wanted to do our deal at Warner Bros.' In fact, Reeves notes in the interview that some elements from the original Gotham PD project have been incorporated The penguin – and the team isn’t finished yet. “We’re going to do some more TV exploration,” Clark revealed. “We're looking at the whole world in terms of who Batman is – the antagonists around him, all the crime there is to deal with in the city – and trying to figure out where the areas are best to explore.”

In the HBO original series, Farrell stars as Oz Cobb (aka The Penguin). Cristin Milioti (Sofia Falcone), Rhenzy Feliz (Victor Aguilar), Michael Kelly (Johnny Viti), Shohreh Aghdashloo (Nadia Maroni), Deirdre O'Connell (Francis Cobb), Clancy Brown (Salvatore Maroni), James Madio (Milos Grapa), Scott Cohen (Luca Falcone), Michael Zegen (Alberto Falcone), Carmen Ejogo (Eve Karlo), Theo Rossi (Dr. Julian Rush) and Mark Strong (Carmine Falcone).
