Police are investigating a death at the Perma Patch facility in Camanche

CAMANCHE, Iowa (KWQC) – Police are investigating the death of a man at the Perma Patch facility in Camanche on Thursday.

According to police, emergency crews responded to Perma-Patch at 1935 7th Avenue around 10 a.m. to retrieve a person who was trapped under a piece of equipment.

According to police, a 20-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further information was provided.

The name of the deceased man has not yet been released.

According to their website, Perma-Patch is a Maryland-based manufacturing company that specializes in permanent pavement repairs.

The incident remains under investigation by the Camanche Police Department and the Clinton County Medical Examiner's Office.

Camanche police were assisted by the Camanche Fire Department, Clinton County Sheriff's Office, Clinton County Coroner's Office and Chaplain Ronald Lott.
