EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Officials with the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office say a man was arrested in Evansville on Sunday after police found drugs following a motorcycle accident.

According to an affidavit, officers saw a man, later identified as Nazhee Flowers, crash his motorcycle on Franklin Street around 2:50 a.m

Police said Flowers failed a field sobriety test when asked and was then placed in handcuffs.

During the arrest, officers found a small plastic bag containing a gray crystal-like substance later identified as meth in the front right pocket of Flowers' pants.

The affidavit states that Flowers made comments to 11 officers and told them he would take action against them. He continued to threaten every single officer.

After being placed in a patrol car, Flowers attempted to step out the window, which then prompted officers to place flexible handcuffs around his ankles.

Flowers was taken to Deaconess Midtown Hospital for medical clearance and then taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail.

  • Communication – intimidation
  • Public administration – resistance to law enforcement
  • Controlled Substance – Possession of Methamphetamine
