Wisconsin's Most Wanted: Brett Christensen is wanted on gun and drug charges

U.S. marshals are searching for a man convicted of lying about his drug use while buying a firearm at a sporting goods store in 2021. Investigators say he used heroin and had troubles with the law and is now on the run.

“The original case arises from a two-count indictment,” said the U.S. marshal who handled the case.

Gun buyers must fill out ATF Form 4473 when purchasing a gun. The document asks about things that could disqualify someone from purchasing a firearm, from prior felony convictions to drug use. According to federal investigators, 34-year-old Brett Christensen checked a box confirming he had not used any illegal drugs.

“Although he actually knew he was illegally using heroin, a Schedule I controlled substance,” the marshal said.

Christensen received a prison sentence and was placed on supervised release. An arrest warrant was issued in October 2024 when investigators said he violated this publication.

“Just turn yourself in and get the warrants cleared,” the marshal said.

Christensen is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 184 pounds. He is believed to be in the Milwaukee area.
