Washington Commanders fan falls over after yelling at Giants fans in viral clip

Not everyone associated with the Washington Commanders won on Sunday.

The team continued its NFL winning streak with a 27-22 victory over the New York Giants on Sunday, increasing its season record to 7-2 for the first time since 1996.

But for one fan who traveled to see the team in action, it was a day to forget. Not that he'll be able to do that any time soon.

The Commanders fan went viral on social media for falling over several rows of seats just seconds after yelling at some Giants fans, “Shut the fuck up.”

The fan seemed fine after his fall – not much more so than his ego was supposed to be bruised in the morning – but things could easily have been worse.

The Washington fan, who may have been drinking during the game, appeared to lose his balance as he turned around after his outburst.

He fell forward, rolling across several rows of seats and colliding with his fellow spectators along the way, before being stopped by the metal rail at the end of the stands.

He didn't miss a beat – he seemed to hold his hands up as if to suggest his trip was no big deal – before a security guard came over to check if he was OK.

The fan was wearing an Art Monk jersey – Monk is widely considered one of the all-time greatest wide receivers in NFL history.

Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was in control throughout, finishing 15 of 22 for 209 yards. He finished the game with a 42-yard pass to Olamide Zaccheaus after New York had gotten within five minutes.

“I’m just happy for the fan base,” Daniels said, adding that he will continue to focus on one game, one week at a time. “You should be so proud of the product we are bringing to market.”

Next week the Commanders host the Pittsburgh Steelers.
