At least two people were hospitalized in a crash Sunday evening in Cary

Two people were seriously injured in an accident Sunday evening in Cary.

According to the Cary Police Department, the accident occurred at the intersection of North Harrison Avenue and Chapel Hill Road at 10:15 p.m.

Police said the people in both vehicles were taken to the hospital and one driver suffered “serious” injuries.

Although police said the investigation is ongoing, they believe alcohol was a factor.

Police partially closed the intersection while they cleared the scene and investigated the accident. Officers regulate traffic.
