4 fights we need to see after UFC Fight Night 246 | News, results, highlights, statistics and rumors

After his exciting decision win over Amir Albazi, Brandon Moreno probably deserves a rematch with reigning flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja, to whom he narrowly lost his title in the summer of 2023. However, Pantoja's next breakthrough goes to former RIZIN Fighting Federation champion Kai Asakura, meaning Moreno will have to wait his turn.

Like Moreno, Royval arguably deserved a title shot, but was left out of consideration for Asakura. As luck would have it, he and Moreno are tied 1-1 in two exciting fights, with Moreno winning the first encounter via first-round TKO due to a shoulder injury and Royval winning the second with a close decision.

Now seems like the perfect time to prepare the two for a crucial trilogy fight. Not only is there no better option for either of them, but the winner will also be in prime position for a fight with the Pantoja Asakura winner sometime in the first or second quarter of 2025.
