Teen was found shot to death in northwest Harris Co. after witnesses heard gunshots and a car speeding away

HOUSTON — Authorities are reconstructing what led to the death of a teenager Sunday night in northwest Harris County after witnesses reported hearing the shots but only seeing a car driving away from the scene at a high rate of speed.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. when officers were called to the Evolve Champions Apartments on TC Jester Boulevard for a shooting in progress.

Teen was found shot to death in northern Harris County, where witnesses said they heard the shots but didn't see what happened – but they did see a vehicle driving away from the scene at a high rate of speed (Copyright 2024 by KPRC Click2Houston – All rights reserved.)

When they arrived, investigators said they found an unidentified 17-year-old boy dead from multiple gunshot wounds. Some witnesses outside told officers they heard the shots but weren't there to see what happened.

However, they saw a car fleeing the scene and later reported finding the teen before calling 911.

At this time there is no motive or information about the shooters, but officers are investigating what happened as part of their investigation.
