Video of Travis Kelce following the camera crew at the Eras Tour show goes viral

A video of Travis Kelce leaving Taylor Swift's Eras Tour while being followed by a camera crew has gone viral, reinforcing the theory that the pop superstar is filming a documentary about her record-breaking tour.

The singer-songwriter kicked off the final leg on October 18 after first beginning the tour in March 2023. A lot has happened since the beginning, with Swift dropping two songs Taylor's version Re-recordings of their albums – 2010s Speak Now and 2014 1989– as well as her all-new 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department. The Eras Tour also became the highest-grossing concert tour of all time.

Swift is also believed to be recording a comprehensive documentary on the Eras Tour, recounting how the 149 shows came to be. Now a video of Kelce spending his Saturday night watching his girlfriend perform at her second show in Indianapolis has gained traction online, and people are sharing their theories about the possible documentary.

Newsweek emailed a Swift spokesperson outside of normal business hours on Monday seeking comment.

Former The Bachelorette Star Ali Manno, née Fedotowsky, shared a video to her Instagram story of Kelce walking past her during the show and being filmed. Whenever the Kansas City Chiefs tight end takes part in the Eras Tour, he leaves the audience early so he can greet Swift as she leaves the stage.

“Travis Kelce just walked past me and Molly. And yes, the song means we made it to the end!” Manno wrote about her video while Swift sang “Karma” in the background. “Goins sticks around until the end to support our girl.”

The clip has since been shared by two different accounts on X (formerly Twitter) and one of the posts went viral.

The video was shared by the X account Taylor Swift Updates, who wrote in the caption, “Travis Kelce leaves the show while being followed by a camera crew!” At the time of writing, it has been viewed more than 531,000 times.

User @kait518 also shared the video and in both posts, fans theorized that the cameras meant Kelce was being recorded for the documentary.

“The camera crew is stressing me out but I tell myself it's a documentary coming out in December,” one person wrote.

“I can’t wait for The BTS documentary [behind the scenes] It will be so fascinating to see this stuff,” said another.

“THIS IS ACTUALLY TORTURE I WANT THE DOCUMENTATION NOW #greedy,” a third person posted.

A fourth added: “THE CAMERA OH TAYCUMENTARYYY.”

“I'm shaking, oh my God [oh my God] it’s happening,” someone else commented.

This isn't the only clip of Kelce at Saturday's concert that has gone viral, as a video on TikTok shows the tight end smiling and dancing to “So High School” alongside Swift's mother, Andrea Swift. At the time of writing, the video has been viewed over 401,400 times.

According to media reports, in addition to documenting the tour, the pop superstar will also talk about her experiences dealing with traumatic experiences on the road. There was the knife attack in Southport, England, in which two children died and nine others were injured – six of them critically – during a children's Swift yoga and dance class.

In a statement on Instagram, Swift said she was “completely shocked” and wrote: “The horror of yesterday's attack in Southport continues to overwhelm me… These were just little kids in a dance class. I don’t know how to ever express my condolences to these families.”

The documentary will also reportedly touch on the foiled terrorist attack that led to her being forced to cancel three shows in Vienna, Austria. Security for the shows was tightened after a 19-year-old was arrested in Ternitz, about an hour south of Vienna, and a second person was arrested in the Austrian capital. However, promoter Barracuda Music later canceled the concerts, saying: “We have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for everyone's safety.”

Swift expressed her sadness over the cancellations and her gratitude to authorities on Instagram, writing, “Thanks to them, we mourned concerts, not lives.”

The Eras Tour continues until December 8th, then ends in Vancouver, Canada.
