The Titans have Lloyd Cushenberry out for the year with an Achilles tendon injury

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The ankle injury the Titans reported for Lloyd Cushenberry when he left the Titans' win over New England is believed to be a season-ending Achilles tendon injury.

After the game, Brian Callahan called it an “ankle” of sorts and said the situation with Cushenberry and Quandre Diggs (foot) “isn't really positive for those two at this point.”

Cushenberry is one of the Titans' five captains. Although his play was not as good as expected when he signed a four-year, $50 million contract with $26 million guaranteed, he was a stabilizing force for the offensive line and offense.

He was replaced in the game by Corey Levin, a 2017 sixth-round pick who has played 62 games with four starts and has been an off-and-on member of the Titans' practice squad in recent years. He had a handful of high shots with the shotgun in the win over the Patriots. [Unlocked]

Right defender Dillon Radunz was out due to a foot injury, so top central defender Daniel Brunskill started in his place. Levin was called up from the practice squad to fill Brunskill's regular role.

Now Brunskill will likely be the starting player, with Levin available as an additional center back. If Radunz needs more time or gets injured again, or if Peter Skoronski goes down, Brunskill would most likely move into coverage and take over for Levin at center.

Cushenberry missed one game in 2021 and nine in 2022 when he suffered a groin injury.
