Election Day 2024: Get sample ballots for every county in Alabama

Voters in Alabama will go to the polls Tuesday to cast their votes in national, state and local elections.

The Alabama Secretary of State's Office has sample ballots for each county so you can review them before the election. The samples are the same for each county, so not all races appear on all ballots. For example, ballots within the same county could have different races in Congress or the State Board of Education offices, even though all options appear on the sample ballot.

You may bring a marked sample ballot paper with you to the polling station, but you may not leave it behind.

A nationwide constitutional amendment is also up for vote. The change would allow the Franklin County School System to sell a large portion of its property in Walker and Fayette counties in hopes of selling or leasing it to a developer. Further information about the change can be found here.

If you do not want to vote on the amendment, you do not have to do so. You are not required to vote on constitutional amendments – or even on all races on the ballot – and this does not disqualify your ballot.
