Louisville women's basketball vs. UCLA: Channel, time, streaming, odds

play

Louisville women's basketball spent four days in Paris, France before its season opener in the city today against No. 6 UCLA.

Cardinals head coach Jeff Walz wanted the trip to serve more than one purpose. While the youth team looks for a win against the Bruins in the first meeting between the two programs, the city also has a cultural appeal.

That's why No. 17 U of L has been enjoying the sights and sounds of Paris in addition to practicing for the first game of the 2024-25 season. These sights included the Eiffel Tower, the Seine and the Louvre Museum.

“When you go on a trip like this, you want to make sure the kids get to see and experience everything and not just play basketball,” Walz said.

The Cardinals hope to return not only with a new cultural experience but also with a win over a UCLA program that made it to the Sweet 16 last year and brings back AP All-American honorable mention center and leading scorer Lauren Betts. The junior averaged 14.9 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks last season.

Here's how to watch Louisville's game against UCLA:

The Cardinals and Bruins are scheduled to square off at 2:30 p.m. EST.

According to FanDuel, U of L is an 11 ⅟₂ point underdog over UCLA.

The Aflac Oui Play contest between the Cardinals and Bruins will air on ESPN2. Ryan Ruocco and Rebecca Lobo will dominate the game.

Nick Curran (play-by-play) and Cortnee Walton (analyst) will host the call on the Cardinal Sports Network (WLCL 93.9-FM and WGTK 970-AM in Louisville).
