Officials identify victims of a fatal crash on Route 15 in Adams County

The victim of a crash Friday in Adams County has been identified as a woman from Center County, Pennsylvania, according to the coroner's office.

Mary Neale, 79, of Center Hall, Pennsylvania, was the victim killed in an accident on southbound Route 15 in the area of ​​mile marker 4.5 in Cumberland Township at approximately 10:35 a.m. Friday, November 1st. Adams County, 2024, Adams County Deputy Coroner Scott Pennewill confirmed.

Neale was taken from the scene to Gettysburg Hospital, where she died that day, the office previously confirmed.

Pennewill said the cause of death for Neale was multiple blunt force injuries. An autopsy was conducted on Saturday, November 2, he added.

Neale was the driver of one of two vehicles involved in the accident, he said. Neale's husband, the passenger in her vehicle, was not seriously injured and was taken to York Hospital and released, Pennewill said.

The driver of the second vehicle was not seriously injured in the crash, Pennewill said.

The accident remains under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police and Cumberland Township police, he confirmed.
