Man charged with murder in Rapid City says witness lied under oath

RAPID CITY, SD (KOTA) – A Rapid City man accused of first-degree manslaughter in 2022 is back in the Seventh Circuit Monday afternoon.

Gregory Landers, 54, is charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of Acey Morrison, 30, who was fatally shot at Landers' home on Country Road in Rapid City on August 21, 2022.

He wrote a letter to Judge Heidi Linngren requesting additional DNA testing on the weapon.

Landers said today that a witness lied under oath to the grand jury to get his indictment.

He is due back in court on November 8th.
