YouTube Gold: RJ Barrett lights up Toronto

The NBA season is still young and Toronto hasn't done well so far, but former Blue Devil RJ Barrett is absolutely killing it so far.

In four games, Barrett is averaging 28.8 ppg, 5.8 rpg and 7.3 apg and is hitting 49 percent of his shots, a significant improvement.

Shooting has been a godsend – pun intended – for Barrett since his Duke days.

The thing about Barrett, though, is that not many people are going to surpass him. And now, with Scottie Barnes out indefinitely with an orbital fracture and Immanuel Quickley still sidelined with a pelvic injury he suffered on opening night, the Raptors need a lot more from Barrett, and the 24-year-old is really making progress.

When they come back he probably won't have to carry such a heavy burden, but while he's here we'll enjoy him firstly for what he is and secondly as a sign of his growth and maturation. The man has worked hard to improve and Toronto is really benefiting from it.
