McDonald's employee accused of showing explicit content involving children

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Police arrested a McDonald's employee after they say she showed nude photos and videos of a child.

Craighead County District Judge David Boiling found probable cause on Monday, Nov. 4, to charge Laquoia Staples with distributing, possessing and viewing material depicting sexual conduct by a child.

According to the affidavit, on Wednesday, Oct. 30, Staples showed the videos and images to a person she was talking to at work.

During the interview, Staples denied that she had shown the videos and he could not have known “due to the length of time she had the videos,” the affidavit said.

However, video footage showed Staples sitting at a table at McDonald's and showing the person the videos and images.

Staples is being held at the Craighead County Detention Center on $10,000 cash bail. Her arraignment is scheduled for Friday, January 24th.
