The owner of Bryan's home and business that was destroyed by an accused drunk driver is speaking out

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – The owners of the Bryan psychic reading and consultant business destroyed by an accused drunk driver are speaking out.

Last Sunday, Oct. 27, Bryan police said the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed down Texas Avenue and crashed into the store.

“There's literally a big hole in my house and it's crazy that this is my childhood home,” said homeowner Pete Adams.

The house doubled as a shop and had been in the family since the 1970s. Jessica Davis ran the store until February when she became ill and later died.

From one tragedy to the next, the family must now pick up the complicated pieces.

“It's a business and a home, so they don't offer us home insurance because it's weird that the insurance companies are trying to do that,” Adams explained.

The family is asking the community to help rebuild and has set up a GoFundMe page to help.
