Texas teen murder suspect Christian Martinez blows kisses in court after being arrested in the Osvaldo Casas shooting

An alleged teenage stalker and murder suspect blew kisses in a Texas courtroom as a judge raised his bond to $2 million for the alleged murder of the stepfather of a 16-year-old girl he had fallen for.

During his first court appearance after the fatal shooting of Osvaldo Casas on August 10, Christian Martinez pursed his lips toward the gallery of a Houston courtroom.

According to police, the 17-year-old is accused of shooting 37-year-old Casas, who had confronted the teenager outside his home in the Meadowbrook/Allendale neighborhood, 11 miles southwest of downtown Houston.

The husband and father of two went outside just before 12.30pm after being alerted by a neighbor to a suspicious car on their street.

According to KPRC, the family was on high alert after their car was destroyed the night before.

Casas was shot multiple times as he confronted the vehicle.

He was left outside to die in the arms of his eight-month pregnant wife, KHOU reported.

Martinez was arrested Oct. 17 by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force.

He was charged with first-degree murder and booked into the Harris County Jail, police said.

“I know the arrest won't bring him back, but I'm glad he was arrested,” Casas' wife, Judith Molina, told the outlet.

Martinez allegedly briefly dated Casas' stepdaughter, but the relationship was ended by the girl after he assaulted and “unlawfully restrained” her, the indictment said.

A probable cause court judge read Martinez's arraignment last week, even though the teenager was not present.

“The allegations are that the 17-year-old defendant briefly dated the complaining witness, a 16-year-old daughter,” the judge said, according to KHOU. “The daughter stopped seeing this defendant after the defendant assaulted and unlawfully restrained her. The defendant called the daughter repeatedly until she blocked the defendant’s phone number.”

Molina denied that her daughter ever dated Martinez.

“He was just mad because she didn’t want to go out with him. That she didn’t want to do anything with him,” Molina said. “So he stalked her and our house for days. Which I didn’t know about.”

“I hope he gets what he deserves. Life in prison. He took a life. His life should be in prison for the rest of his life. He shouldn’t be let out,” he said.

The couple's son was born a few days after Casa's funeral.

Casa's grieving family admitted they had “no peace” but had faith in the judge.

“I'm not at peace, but I believe the judge will do the right thing. … He's guilty,” Casas' mother said.

Before Martinez made a subtle gesture in the courtroom, a judge increased his bail to $2 million from the original $200,000.
