More details released on Caldwell County drug arrest

Daniel Ray Coleman, 43, of Corkie Drive in Granite Falls, was arrested by Caldwell County Sheriff's deputies on Tuesday (October 22). He is charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell and deliver and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances. WHKY previously reported on Coleman's arrest and further details have been released.

On Tuesday, the sheriff's office SWAT team and the ICE unit executed a search warrant at Coleman's home in Granite Falls. The investigation led to the seizure of more than 20 grams of methamphetamine.

Earlier this year, Coleman received the same charges following an earlier incident. This case is still pending. The drugs seized during the investigation have a total street value of $3,030, according to the North Carolina State Drug Guidelines.

Coleman was lodged in the Caldwell Detention Center on $25,000 bail. An appearance in district court was scheduled for Wednesday (October 23).
