Beyoncé just released a music video for “Cowboy Carter.”

We can't believe we're writing this, but Beyoncé literally just released a brand new music video.

Beyoncé has released a full music video for Cowboy Carter song “Bodyguard” in the early hours of Tuesday, November 5th, also known as Election Day in the United States. In the video, Bey poses for the camera and sings “Bodyguard” while paying homage to actress and model Pamela Anderson.

In this completely unexpected music video, Beyoncé references the hit 1990s TV show Baywatch (wearing a swimsuit stylized as “Beywatch”) and the 1996 film Barbed wiretwo of Anderson's best-known projects.

In addition to the clear nods to Anderson's work and aesthetic, Beyoncé drops visual cues that read, “VOTE!” Even as she releases a highly anticipated visual for a beloved track from a legendary album, Queen Bey obviously still wants to remind you that You have to go out and vote. Just a week ago, she attended a rally in Texas and voiced her official support for Kamala Harris to become the next president of the United States.

Fans waited — and begged — for years for Beyoncé to release images for her last two albums: “2022.” Renaissance and 2024 Cowboy Carter.

In the meantime, the pop star went on a world tour and was fired Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé in theaters, and then gagged us again with an explosive Super Bowl commercial announcing it Cowboy Carter. Unfortunately, neither album's song has had an actual music video released… until now!

The internet is predictably losing its collective mind with all sorts of reactions, theories, jokes and explanations to the references in “Bodyguard.”
