Beyoncé releases music video in which she dresses up as Pamela Anderson

When it comes to celebrity Halloween costumes, the A-list really put their best foot forward this year.

Be it Heidi Klum's usual annual offering (the self-proclaimed Halloween queen opted for an elaborate ET outfit this year) or Hailey and Justin Bieber's adorable family theme Kim possible We're spoiled for choice when it comes to inspiration for the next spooky season.

However, it is Beyoncé who has overtaken all other stars when it comes to Halloween costumes this year. With Pamela Anderson, the singer modeled herself on another American icon – and revealed her look with a full music video on Instagram.

The 43-year-old initially dressed up as Anderson's icon Barbed wire character, complete with knee-high boots, a low-cut, form-fitting black dress and long fishnet gloves. Beyoncé also stayed true to the era's beauty trends, mimicking Anderson's razor-sharp eyebrows and '90s purple eyeshadow.

Elsewhere in the clip, Beyoncé wore the famous red swimsuit of Casey Jean Parker, the character Anderson played Baywatch. In a cheeky play on words, the singer's costume instead read “Beywatch.”

Beyonce's final costume was reminiscent of the famous outfit Anderson wore to the 1999 Video Music Awards. The star wore an oversized pink fur hat, then an elaborate silver corset and sparkly leggings.

And the singer couldn't help but poke a little fun at the Beyhive, who desperately wanted more visuals and images for her lauded country album Cowboy Carter. The background to her interpretation of Anderson's VMA awards was instead “no visual awards.”

However, this post could suffice as a music video for the singer's eighth studio album; Beyoncé sings the track “Bodyguard” as she goes through her three costumes.

Beyoncé isn't the first celebrity to transform into Anderson in recent years. Lily James completed an intensive training program as well as four hours in the make-up chair to play the actress in the 2022 series. Pam and Tommy.

In conversation with Harper's BazaarJames' personal trainer Matt Bevan revealed how the actress achieved the 'Pamela Body' at home, using mostly circuit training that involved alternating upper and lower body training. “It is hard” he remarked.
