Police cruiser involved in accident in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – No one was injured after a police car and a civilian vehicle collided at a busy intersection Monday night.

A CSPD lieutenant called the accident “minor” and said the collision occurred at North Carefree Circle and Tutt Boulevard just after 6 p.m. Neither car was significantly damaged and both were able to be driven from the scene.

Police are still investigating what caused the accident and have not yet said who the at-fault driver was. It is also unclear whether the officer was on his way to an operation at the time and whether the lights and sirens were on.
