The Bengals acquire RB Khalil Herbert from the Bears in a trade while Zack Moss is out indefinitely

The move brings some clarity to the situation for Moss, who will be out indefinitely with a neck injury, according to coach Zac Taylor on Monday. In fact, the running back is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season, Pelissero and NFL Network Insider Mike Garafolo reported Tuesday. The fact that the Bengals traded for a running back further suggests that Moss' injury is a long-term issue that should at least land him on injured reserve.

Brown remains the Bengals' top back after setting career highs with 27 carries for 120 rush yards and 37 receiving yards and a touchdown in the Week 9 win over Las Vegas. Brown showed he has the ability to make three-downs. However, adding a complement like Herbert gives Cincy power in short-yardage and goal-line situations.

The Bengals face division rival Baltimore on Thursday night as Joe Burrow and Co. try to get back to .500 and push for a playoff spot.
