Celtic vs RB Leipzig: UEFA Champions League – BBC Sport

The outstanding Nicolas Kuhn inspired Celtic as they came from behind to beat Germany's RB Leipzig to secure an exhilarating third successive Champions League victory at an exuberant Celtic Park.

After a six-goal League Cup win over Aberdeen on Saturday and a hard-fought point away to Atalanta on the previous matchday, hopes were high for this game, despite Leipzig being top seed.

Celtic lived up to expectations with a blistering start, but Leipzig – still hoping for their first point in the competition – interrupted their positivity with a nice nod from Christoph Baumgartner after a corner.

Celtic had lost in 27 of the 28 previous Champions League games in which they had gone behind, but they bounced back here.

Kuhn continued his exceptional start to the season – he had previously scored 17 goals in 15 games – when Kuhn cut inside from the right and parried an audacious shot off the post.

The stadium was still shaking when German winger Kuhn smashed in from just outside the six-yard box after Daizen Maeda's fresh-air strike allowed Greg Taylor to cut back to him just before half-time.

Brendan Rodgers' side maintained their high standard after the break and were rewarded when the brilliant Reo Hatate scored a third goal to secure Celtic's second win of the season.
