FOX 4 is following the latest updates on local and national races as voters across Southwest Florida go to the polls. This live blog will keep you up to date on the latest voting news and updates in our community.

After the polls closed in Florida, election results are now being announced for the first time. 41% of counties say Donald Trump is leading Kamala Harris. To follow the latest results, click here.

You can track the number of people who voted in advance and on Election Day by visiting the Lee County Supervisor of Elections website at https://www.lee.vote/Current-Election-Statistics.

According to this website, unofficial voter turnout in Lee County is currently 383,866.

There's still time to get out and vote! Polls in Florida close at 7 p.m. Election officials say all voters in line at 7 p.m. will still have the opportunity to cast their ballot.

No paper for the ballot papers?

Poll workers in Babcock Ranch said they realized around 5:30 a.m. that they had no paper for the ballots.

The returning officer's office was called and the documents were rushed to the precinct, where they arrived about five minutes after 7 a.m

A source told FOX 4 that voters had to wait a few minutes after the polls opened; Still, everyone waited and voted.

Error searching for voter information

Some users trying to find voter information on the Florida Department of State website encountered the following screens:

The user claims to be registered in the state of Florida and to have previously looked up their information on the website.

We contacted the Florida Department of State.

Here's what they told us:

“Election operations were not affected in any way. Each voter can still look up their registration status on the county election officer's website. The search page should go to their county's SOE website for the same service.

Voting concerns at a polling station in Cape Coral

FOX 4 contacted the Lee County Elections Office about concerns about voting at a polling place in Cape Coral.

The office told us that some ballots at the 5505 Rose Garden Road precinct did not have a printed back. A representative from the office said a replacement ballot was provided to any voter who received an incomplete ballot.

“Although the issue has been resolved, our poll workers are making sure to double check before giving voters their ballots.”

There are almost no lines at this location – likely due to the record number of early voters.

In Southwest Florida, polls are officially open and are expected to close at 7 p.m. An important note here: If you wait in line by 7:00 p.m., you can still cast your vote.

Mail-in ballot reminders: If you still have a mail-in ballot, you can drop it off today. Election officials remind you not to mail it at this time because it will not count. If you need to vote in person, you can contact your county with your mail-in ballot for further assistance.
