A 73-year-old Hong Kong man has been arrested for allegedly killing an elderly man during an argument over “trivial matters.”

Police said they received a report that a fight broke out outside a public toilet on Hong King Street in Yuen Long at 5:31 p.m. last Thursday.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the 68-year-old victim lying on the ground with head injuries.

Both the suspect and the victim were arrested at this time for fighting in public spaces. The former was released on bail.

The injured man was taken to Pok Oi Hospital in Yuen Long and then to Tuen Mun Hospital, where he died on Friday afternoon.

The surviving man was arrested on Wednesday for murder and held for questioning, police said on Thursday.
