Voters in Ohio and Kentucky appear to be pushing for another Trump presidency, while several swing states could still have a different outcome.

Polls show Trump still ahead in Ohio

On the morning of Election Day, polling data from FiveThirtyEight shows Ohio voters favoring Trump by 8.3%, continuing his momentum from previous weeks. The former president was at 52.1%, while Harris was at 43.8%.

The site provides an updated average for each candidate in the 2024 presidential election, taking into account each poll's recency, sample size, methodology and house effects. Poll averages are adjusted based on state and national surveys.

According to betting on Polymarket, a crypto trading platform, Trump has a 94 percent chance of winning Ohio.

Distinguished history professor at the American University in Washington, DC, Allan Lichtman, has correctly predicted nine of the last ten US presidential elections. Lichtman earned his doctorate from Harvard, specializing in modern American history and quantitative methods.

This year, Lichtman predicted that Vice President Kamala Harris would win the 2024 US presidential election. “I've been doing this for 42 years and every four years I get butterflies in my stomach,” he told USA Today. “I think I have a flock of crows in my stomach this year.”
