A salute to “Bobby” Kennedy in Trump’s victory speech. What it could be

Washington:

Donald Trump's victory speech included a salute to Robert F. Kennedy Junior and suggested that he will play an important role in the Trump administration once it is established, provided he does not interfere in U.S. petroleum exploration and drilling.

“Bobby, stay away from the liquid gold, Bobby. Otherwise, go and have a good time,” Trump said, while also acknowledging people who supported him and took part in his campaign.

Robert F. Kennedy Junior or RFK, affectionately known as Bobby as Roberts are commonly called, is a politician, lawyer and activist. He was a strong voice for environmental activism, which is why Donald Trump told him to “stay away from the liquid gold (oil).”

“He wants to do some things and we're going to let him do them,” Donald Trump said, adding that he would help “make America healthy again.” Although Trump has not specified or announced a portfolio for Mr. Kennedy, it is likely that he will be given responsibility for health care. Mr. Kennedy also campaigned on the slogan “Make America Healthy Again” — a slogan mentioned in Trump’s victory speech.

It would still be a surprise to many if an outspoken anti-vaxxer took responsibility for “health for all Americans.” Mr. Kennedy has spread extremely hollow and scientifically incorrect ideas about what he believes are the dangers of taking vaccines. He spread fluoride into the drinking water.

A member of the Kennedy family, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is a scion of America's storied political clan. He is the son of former US Attorney General and Senator Robert F. Kennedy and a nephew of former US President John F. Kennedy and former Senator Ted Kennedy.

He originally stood for election as an independent candidate and received four to five percent of the vote nationwide. However, at the end of August, he decided to drop out of the race and support Donald Trump. He then campaigned with Trump in battleground states to win support for him.

Kennedy Jr. is a controversial politician as he was both an anti-vaxxer and a conspiracy theorist. His anti-vaccine advocacy group Children's Health Defense has been a leading proponent of COVID-19 vaccine misinformation.

Donald Trump also hinted at a role for billionaire Elon Musk in his government.
