Theodore man convicted of involuntary manslaughter in crash that killed Air Force veteran

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A Theodore man has been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the 2021 death of a U.S. Air Force veteran, the Mobile County District Attorney's Office announced Wednesday.

According to court documents, Eric Timko was driving recklessly on Schillinger Road in the early morning of October 28, 2021. His GMC pickup crossed several lanes of traffic and struck a vehicle driven by Justin Bolton, killing Bolton.

Bolton, a veteran Air Force staff sergeant, was on his way to work at Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula.

Court testimony revealed that prior to the fatal crash, 911 received several emergency calls reporting reckless driving of a vehicle.

Sentencing for 33-year-old Timko is scheduled for December 11th.
