NYPD seeks suspect in Central Park stabbing case

NEW YORK CITY – The New York Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in a threatening incident that occurred in Central Park early Monday morning.

According to police, the incident occurred around 12:02 a.m. on Oct. 21 near 67th Street and East Drive. A 34-year-old man was walking his dog when an unknown person approached him and showed a knife. The suspect then threatened to slash the victim, causing the man to flee.

According to police, no injuries were reported in the incident.

The person being sought is a man with medium skin color and a height of around 1.70 meters.

The NYPD has released images of the suspect and is urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
