It's time for basketball: Spurs at Rockets

Welcome to the game thread. Veterans of the game thread know how we operate here, but for anyone new, we have a few rules. Our Community Guidelines Apply and basically say: Be cool, no personal attacks, don't troll, and don't curse too much.

With Jeremy Sochan sidelined for an extended period, Spurs are looking to re-establish themselves just as things were starting to come together again for the rebuilding team. Mitch Johnson will continue to serve as interim coach as Pop is still out with an undisclosed illness. While this is a lot of bad news for Silver and Black, it is also an opportunity.

There will be a different opening lineup tonight, and with Devin Vassell still out, it's likely that Malaki Branham will be in the starting lineup, with Castle as a backup, while Blake Wesley will return to the rotation after missing most of the last few weeks spent in Mitch's doghouse. Tre Jones is still missing, so it's all hands on deck, and Sidy Cissoko and some of the two-way players could end up playing some minutes that aren't wasted time. I'm looking for David Duke Jr., Harrison Ingram and Riley Minix to do something in the next few weeks, maybe even in today's game.

Match prediction:

Victor Wembanyama blocks every shot Alperen Sengun attempts in the game.

One last word:

Go Spurs GOOOOOO!!
