CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich – Two drivers were hospitalized after a crash at a major intersection in Canton Township.

The accident occurred at approximately 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the intersection of Ford and Sheldon streets.

Officials said a 61-year-old woman from Canton Township and a 33-year-old woman from Van Buren Township collided at the intersection.

Both were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment. Specific information about their terms was not disclosed.

According to police, there were no passengers in any of the cars.

Investigators at the scene do not believe alcohol played a role in the accident. They continue to investigate.
