50 Cent shares the advice he gave Drake during the Kendrick Lamar fight

A word to the wise.

50 Cent shared the advice he gave Drake during his infamous rap battle with Kendrick Lamar.

During an interview with billboard50 says, “I told him it wasn’t him. I hear on the outskirts it's not you. Don’t think that for a second,” he said. “When there was real shit, I said, 'They said you lost, okay.' Well, what have you lost?' What exactly did he lose if he got $300 million on his last tour? You didn’t lose a damn thing, man.”

“When it's the right moment, you keep your creative energy in the right place and keep creating,” he recalled telling Drake. “When you slow down because you feel like, 'What the fuck?' The resistance will make you feel like your material is not good.

“Then you have to figure out how to keep pushing and keep being creative – because that’s what it feels like for you right now. That shit was good for hip hop. This allowed both of them to produce high-quality material more quickly.”

50 also responded to the critics who thought he was being seduced because of his relationship with Dr. Automatically put Dre on Lamar's side.

“Drake is in this position right now,” he added. “They try to resist the music because he’s put out some stuff that’s cool. I say a lot of things on social media and they get upset because they look and say, “Ahh, I should automatically be on Kendrick's side because of my connection to Dre.”

“And I love Kendrick, but I'll tell you: I didn't see where what [Drake] did was crazy at all times. They give [Drake] that, ‘Oh, you idiot, you’re done.’ I say, ‘No, come on.’ That’s the system trying to provide some kind of resistance, and that’s because of consistency.”
