Draymond Green praises and criticizes the undefeated Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder have entered the 2024-25 NBA season undefeated, sparking talk about their potential.

Two players – Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren – are averaging at least 20 points. Oklahoma City has defeated each of its opponents by double digits, including a 12-point win over the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday.

However, Draymond Green isn't entirely convinced by the Thunder yet.

The Thunder are known for their post-game interview tradition, where the team joins the featured player after the game and everyone barks together. Oklahoma City freshman Alex Caruso made his debut last week. Rookie Nikola Topic made his debut on Wednesday. Even Bally Sports reporter Nick Gallo got in on the action last season.

Green is not a fan.

On a recent episode of his podcast, the Golden State Warriors star said that Oklahoma City “definitely has some special talent.” But he pointed out the one thing he says is alarming – their post-game interviews.

“Seven people in an interview. It takes a certain level of seriousness to win in this league,” Green said. “And there is a certain fear that you have to instill in a team to win. You should have fun, but you have to understand that the moment is now.”

He further explained that the Thunder's moment began last season when they had a strong year. He added that they are no longer the team that only builds through the draft.

“They’ve arrived,” Green said.

Golden State and Oklahoma City will face off on November 10th – if the Thunder emerge victorious, there will likely be barking.
